How to choose a suitable pig floor?

From the perspective of aquaculture enterprises, there are two points of concern:
1. Durable
2. Do not damage the pig's hoof
Common problems during use are damage to the edges of the slats and wear of the surface of the slats, which are related to the insufficient wear resistance of concrete. In this case, the damage to the limbs and hoofs of pigs is very serious.

Pig Floor Standard sizes

From the perspective of animal welfare, the European Union has detailed requirements on the width of the gap and the width of the slats:
First, Requirements for the gap width of the maximum leakage board:
1. Unweaned piglets 11mm;
2. Nursing pig 14mm;
3. Fattening pig 18mm;
4. Sow 20mm.
Second, Minimum width requirements for slats
1. 50mm for unweaned piglets and nursery pigs;
2. 80mm for fattening pigs and sows.

The slat gap of the American-style manure leaking floor is relatively wide, and the recommended indicators of MWPS-8 are as follows.
The shape of the slats should facilitate the dropping of manure, and the edges of the slats should be smooth so as not to damage the pig's hooves.
The upper surface of the slats should be as flat as possible, the flatness error should not be greater than 3mm (the smaller the better), but not too smooth. There should be no burrs and obvious protrusions on the whole dung leakage board, and there should be no cracks larger than 0.1mm on the surface of the dung leakage board.
